About ten minutes ago there was a duel between two top fighters in the easiest category of UFC. In a duel, Brazilian Jussierre Formiga met with American Joseph Benavides. The winner gets the opportunity to qualify for the title match.
Fighters sluggishly started the fight. The main task at the beginning of the battle was to identify the weak points of the enemy. Joseph Benavides behaved more aggressively, stood upright, cut the corners of the blows, while Formiga stood firmly on the foot and charged the blows well. The American managed to put two heavy midkki straight to the Brazilian liver. But Jussière Formiga was able to stand on his feet and withstand the blows. By the end of the first round, Benavides opened a cut above his left eye, which did not bring him peace of mind until the end of the first round. Thanks to the cut, the Brazilian was able to translate the course of the battle to his side.
In the second round, Formige managed to successfully take a takdown and take back Joseph. But Benavides was able to quickly recover and get on his feet. At the end of the second round, Benavides managed to strike good combinations and complete the bout with a straight haikik in Formigi’s jaw. After the haikik, it cost the American nothing to finish him off, which he did.
Bottom Line: Joseph Benavides defeated Jussier Formig in Minneapolis at the UFC on ESPN 3 tournament.
